Apprentice Metalworker

A fantastic opportunity awaits a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Maintenance Fitter. As part of this apprenticeship, you will have the chance to develop your skills in metalworking and gain valuable experience in a trade environment.

• Examine and evaluate technical drawings and specifications to identify requirements.
• Operate and adjust complex machinery to create precision parts or tools by using techniques such as turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components.
• Fitting and assembling metal parts, tools, or sub-assemblies (including joining or repairing faulty parts).
• Cutting, threading, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
• Setting up and/or operating hand tools, machine tools, welding equipment, or Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines.
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.

• You must be an Australian citizen or hold the right to work in this country.
• Tertiary graduates need not apply.

This apprenticeship is a Skills Shortage Trade that requires individuals who uphold values of integrity, honesty, and excellence. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, able to work effectively in a team environment and possess a genuine interest in their chosen trade.
