About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at VMCH. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support to residents, adhering to individual care plans and preferences.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, promoting a culture of empathy and understanding.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in aged care.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and support to older adults. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working in an aged care facility, preferably in a personal care assistant role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents and colleagues.
  • A commitment to providing person-centred care and support, with a focus on resident-centred practice.
