Fire Protection Specialist Role

This is a challenging role that involves carrying out routine inspection and testing of fire protection systems, installing equipment, and performing minor works, diagnostics, and repairs. The ideal candidate will maintain and test a wide range of fire protection systems and equipment to meet industry standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Cary out routine inspection and testing of fire protection systems as per industry regulations.
• Install equipment and perform minor works, diagnose faults and carry out repair work on a wide range of fire protection systems and equipment.
• Support the growth of sales, increase market share, and enhance nett profitability.
• E nsure customer properties are compliant with industry standards and contractual requirements.

• Portable Service staff

Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Identify, install, diagnose, service, repair and perform minor works on fixed fire protection and safety systems and equipment.
• Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on equipment in an accurate and legible manner.
• Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment.
• Maximise efficiencies via route planning, time management, stock management, and service delivery.
• Participate in stocktakes and be responsible for inventory management.
• Manage and maintain all assigned company property.
• Report work progress and performance by completing productivity/KPI reports.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and processes.
• Attend all scheduled training programs.
• Recommend improved business processes.

Customer Service Excellence

• Provide assistance to customers in the use of fire and safety equipment.
• Effectively communicate with customers.
• Maintain the highest level of presentation as a member of our team.
• Ensure punctuality and communicate attendance or planned attendance to site.
• Comply with all customer requirements.

Customer Growth Initiatives

• Increase the customer base through active promotion and sale of products and services.
• Reduce customer attrition through excellent customer service.
• Gather market information to assist in market analysis.

Environment, Health & Safety Policy

• Comply with EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.
• Report conditions or practices that are unsafe or may adversely impact the environment.
• Attend scheduled EH&S training programs.
• Support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
• Recommend improved EH&S practices.
