About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join our Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Partners and lawyers across all national offices to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Our TMT team is renowned for its expertise in advising clients on complex transactions, regulatory matters, and governance issues. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of matters, including telecommunications and data centres, data and AI, cyber, outsourcing, corporate, digital transformation projects, and startups and innovation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a TMT team within a top-tier law firm, with a focus on TMT work rather than intellectual property matters.
  • Experience, understanding, and interest in Australian privacy, data protection, and cyber matters and advice.
  • Australia or other common law jurisdiction experience, ideally with direct involvement in the drafting and negotiation of a broad range of IT/telecommunications contracts.
  • An ability to effectively contribute to smaller matters and elements of larger matters.
  • A desire to learn, grow, network, and mentor others.
