
Child Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team, providing critical support services to children and families in rural and remote areas.
This challenging yet rewarding role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to assess, intervene, and provide case management for children aged 0-12 years with developmental vulnerability. Our ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work and be eligible for membership with AASW.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide social work services to children and families referred to our organisation
- Practice a strengths-based, family-centered approach to support mental health and developmental well-being
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver social work assessment, intervention, and case management
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership
- Understanding of core components of paediatric Social Work, including family support, child interventions, and parent counseling
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and file notes
- Knowledge of Child Safe practices, Child Protection legislation, and policy procedures
