Job Title: Master Plasterer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional plastering services across residential and commercial projects.

This involves surface preparation, mortar mixing, applying protective and decorative finishes, and ensuring outstanding quality, durability, and safety.

  • Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for plaster application, including cleaning, levelling, and bonding.
  • Apply and finish coats of plaster, cement render, acrylic mixtures, and other specialized materials to a uniform thickness.
  • Execute smoothing, decorative texture creation, and refined finishing using trowels, brushes, and sandpaper.
  • Install and finish architectural features such as cornices, mouldings, and ceiling surrounds.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, ensuring precision in angles, joins, and plan layouts.
  • Set up and dismantle scaffolding or trestles safely in compliance with site requirements.
  • Grind, smooth, and execute levelling techniques tailored to advanced concrete and plaster finishes.

Key Requirements:

  • Vocational qualification in solid plastering (e.g., Certificate III in Solid Plastering) or equivalent trade recognition.
  • Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in solid plastering.
  • Proficiency in mixing and applying plaster, render, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to work from plans and execute detailed finishing with high precision.
  • Strong understanding of Australian safety standards and workplace protocols.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
