Job Title: Financial Operations Coordinator

This role involves overseeing the daily financial activities of a construction company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record financial transactions using Xero software.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payment processing.
  • Maintain detailed ledgers and track project costs to optimize resource allocation.
  • Process client invoices, recording approvals or rejections as necessary.
  • Codify payables for accountant review and analysis.
  • Filing and retrieving financial records in a secure and organized manner.
  • Monitor debt levels and ensure compliance with company procedures to minimize risk.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and process cash receipts/deposits efficiently.
  • Prepare monthly VAT returns for accountant review and submission.
  • Record and manage staff timesheets for accurate payroll processing.
  • Prepare CIS payment notices to facilitate timely payments.
  • Provide relevant financial information to accountants as required.
  • Support administrative tasks related to bookkeeping as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in bookkeeping (industry or practice; construction experience beneficial)
  • Proficiency in Xero
  • Knowledge of VAT and CIS processes
  • AAT, IAB, or ICB bookkeeping qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
