Artistic Trainer

We are seeking skilled and experienced artists to deliver CUA20420 Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cultural arts, with the ability to inspire and engage students. We require individuals who can effectively communicate their knowledge and skills, ensuring students receive high-quality training.

1. Hold TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent;
2. Be a practicing Aboriginal artist and/or hold CUA20420 Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts or higher;
3. Hold a valid driver's license and own a vehicle;
4. Have undergone a Police Check and Working with Children Check;
5. Hold an Australian Business Number (ABN).

Existing artists who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander are preferred. However, if not, the successful candidate will work alongside an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist. This is a part-time position working one day a week on Fridays in North Lismore, with potential for growth depending on willingness to travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver CUA20420 Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts;
• Mentor and guide students to achieve their full potential;
• Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders;
• Contribute to the development of training materials and resources;
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
