Role Overview

This is a full-time position within the Centre for Health Analytics. You will be responsible for extracting, analysing and visualising clinical data.

You will work with clinicians, researchers and technical experts to ensure accurate interpretation of clinical data and support research and quality improvement.

The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to design and document analytics solutions, develop and review data outputs, and prepare training and support documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with subject matter experts to analyse clinical data problems and design requirements for analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop and review various data outputs including multi-table SQL queries, visualisations, data analyses and insights using graphical and code-based tools (SQL, R, Python, Power BI/Power Query and AI/ML).
  • Prepare and maintain knowledge repositories and contribute to an innovative and collaborative work environment.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary degree in health science, health informatics, digital health or equivalent and several years relevant experience to the role.
  • Experience in designing, implementing and validating reports from health information systems such as EMR, PAS or GP software systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare sector and health information system(s) including data capture workflows, validation logic and reporting.
  • Proficient with SQL and knowledge of R, Python, DAX, Power Query M or other data manipulation languages.
