Psychiatrist Position in Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit

The Central Coast of New South Wales is a picturesque region located north of Sydney, known for its stunning beaches, relaxed coastal lifestyle, and natural beauty.

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to lead our multidisciplinary team in providing specialist psychiatric services to patients. The successful candidate will promote patient safety and quality of care, providing leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education to doctors in training and other health workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist psychiatric services to patients
  • Promotes patient safety and quality of care. Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, and other health workers
  • Works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the local healthcare district
Essential Qualifications
  • Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), awarded under any RCPsych curriculum from August 2007 to date following satisfactory completion of a General Medical Council or Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board approved specialty training program in psychiatry in the United Kingdom
  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
  • Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
