Fyfe's Energy and Resources Group delivers specialist projects across Australia, including oil and gas, mining, hydrogen, and power generation.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Power Generation Engineer, you will contribute to innovative solutions for clients, leveraging expertise in concept and detailed design, grid connection process, and NEM compliance.

You will work with major energy developers, network service providers, and solution providers on utility-scale energy generating facilities, transmission and distribution networks, and decarbonisation projects.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting client engagement and development of opportunities
  • Providing technical design input for grid connections, substation design, and generator connection
    • Managing project-related design deliverables
    • Reviewing subcontractor documents for completeness and Australian Standards compliance
    • Participating in project delivery, construction, and commissioning management
  • Providing site-based support for projects (with travel required)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • At least 7 years experience in electrical design deliverables for renewable or conventional power generation facilities
  • Strong understanding of HV, MV, and LV electrical design and general arrangement
  • Competent in electrical design tools like ETAP, Digsilent PowerFactory, PSCAD
  • Sound understanding of Australian industry codes and standards
  • Exceptional communication skills and negotiation ability
