Job Summary

Fortescue Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to lead the development and assurance of capital estimates for our Energy and Metals projects. As a key member of our Estimating Team, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating various workstreams, including Cost Blocks, Country Factors, Learning Curves, Capex Library, DOME interface, and WBS structure.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and maintain the Capital Intensity initiative for Energy and Metals projects.
* Maintain and update the following workstreams: Cost Blocks, Country Factors, Learning Curves, Capex Library, DOME interface, and WBS structure.
* Conduct monthly meetings with project teams and Engineering to discuss project Capital Intensity Initiatives.
* Collaborate and coordinate with the estimating manager and estimating workstreams.
* Provide guidance for the Estimators.
* Ensure that lessons learnt and common initiatives are provided across the portfolio of projects.

Requirements

* Degree qualification or equivalent experience in Project Controls, Planning, or Estimating in the construction, design, or engineering areas.
* Prior experience in a similar lead estimating role, preferably in the resources and/or renewable energy sector and within a complex construction and engineering environment.
* Minimum 15+ years of experience as a practicing estimator at senior and leader level using industry-recognised estimating systems.
* Experience working for a multi-national (client-side) and/or Tier 1 Project Consultant.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and software development skills.
* Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment collaborating with other like-minded team members and adjacent project teams.
* A robust capability in adapting and understanding to multidisciplinary requirements such as engineering, system, and data concepts.
* Strong data management and manipulation skills, with excellent computer literacy skills.
* Strong team skills.
