Hospital Environment Coordinator

Your role in this position involves overseeing and supporting caregivers in the Environmental Services department, ensuring that environmental duties such as cleaning, inspection of patient rooms, common areas, control of supplies, and equipment maintenance are performed throughout the hospital in compliance with established guidelines.
The key responsibility of this role is to contribute to service delivery by coordinating tasks to achieve the best possible outcome for customers (doctors, patients, visitors, caregivers). You will provide high standards of professional practice while being courteous and friendly to customers. It is essential to respect customers' values, beliefs, and spiritual needs, and handle customer complaints according to the complaints policy. The Environmental Services team and its caregivers must have adequate supplies of cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies, including replacement of general paper products and daily linen requirements.
As an Environmental Services Supervisor, you will direct and supervise Environmental Services caregivers on a day-to-day basis and ensure they have performance development plans. This includes holding them accountable for meeting expectations and agreed goals, which are reviewed at least annually.
Essential skills and qualifications include experience in managing complex rostering and staff allocation systems, as well as demonstrated experience in the healthcare industry, preferably within a hospital setting.
