Project Coordination Specialist

The Project Coordination Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of complex projects within our organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and implementation of project plans to meet First Investment Decision (FID) objectives, encompassing cost estimation, schedule management, execution strategies, and risk assessment.
  • Maintenance of a safe working environment for all personnel involved in project activities, adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Responsible for project planning and execution, aligning with documented systems and practices.
  • Supporting the development of a strong team culture within and between project teams and subcontracting partners.
  • Project setup, resource requirement definition, project initiation, and execution aligned with client commitments.
  • Ensuring quality-focused project delivery while meeting HSE requirements.
  • Driving adherence to project cost and schedule commitments, holding each work stream accountable for timely delivery.
  • Management of project interfaces, project risk, weekly project reporting, and monthly project reporting inclusive of cost and schedule information.
  • Supporting adherence to gated project execution methodology/strategy in delivering all project scopes.
  • Interface with Client and Petrofac management in project delivery.
  • Focus on delivering client value and enhancing internal margins on live project scope.
  • Active participation in key planning milestones, Risk Assessments, HAZOPs, and HAZIDs.
  • Communication of Lessons Learned across project teams.
  • Drive the use of Turus, IPMS, and other internal systems required by the project implementation strategy.
  • Coordination of all project activities for successful execution within project schedules and contractual requirements. Oversee all coordination between Petrofac and client, vendors, Engineering, sub-contractors, and any external or internal agencies for smooth project execution.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Extensive oil and gas industry experience covering various job functions in project management, preferably involving modularization and onshore construction.
  • Knowledge and working experience in managing operational/project teams and gaining support from operations teams, with a strong preference for direct operator experience.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale FEED study projects.
  • Strong analytical ability.
