Job Title

Role Summary:

The role of Whisky Advocate is to inspire customers and trade to become advocates for our whisky brands and expressions. This involves educating, activating, inspiring, communicating, connecting and engaging with key influencers for our brands and converting those relationships into ongoing commercial outcomes with sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently lead the brand planning and prioritization based on opportunity and commercial return.
  • Work in partnership with Marketing and Sales Distributor to deliver brand-led promotional activity to customers and consumers.
  • Engage with target whisky consumers online to drive brand dialogue and brand advocacy.
  • Develop an annual and quarterly operations plan and report monthly on activity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• +5 years Spirits industry knowledge and commercial experience

• Previous experience in a brand ambassador role ideal but not essential

• Passion for Australian whisky and/or Australian craft spirits

• Proven excellence within On-Premise environment, ideally still active in this area

• Comfortable public speaking in front of camera and behind a microphone

• Ability to create engaging social media content for personal profile and brand

• Experienced bartender, with an understanding of how brands work in the changing face of the on-trade

• Independent networking skills and ability to identify active opportunities for brand

• Project management and planning skills

• Able to think and act both strategically and tactically to deliver on brand objectives

Benefits:

This is a part-time, 4 days per week position which will be based in Melbourne with some interstate travel required, with Sydney as a priority.
