This is a leadership position within the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team at John Hunter Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will work closely alongside other service managers to ensure consistent direction and leadership for the team.

About The Role
  • This is a job share management role with another experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist.

The applicant will be supported by their job share partner, the Director of Allied Health and Manager of Community & Allied Health for Children, Young People and Families, as well as the other Service Managers of Paediatric Allied Health.

There will be access to orientation to the service and opportunities for professional development available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment and intervention across inpatient and outpatient areas.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high quality patient care.
  • Supervise and guide junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
