Guest Service Generalist

This role is ideal for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing daily Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance functions.

This includes:

  • Maintenance of rooms/grounds
  • Inspection & reporting of faults
  • Reporting all maintenance issues as required
  • Assisting guests when required

This busy hands-on role requires excellent time management skills, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a desire to make the property the best it can be.

In addition to assisting the maintenance department, the successful candidate may also be required to provide support to other departments as needed.

This may include:

  • Performing all duties of the front desk, including greeting owners and guests, check-in/check-out, answering telephone and email inquiries, portage of luggage, cash handling and balancing procedures, tour & travel inquiries/bookings, reservations and night audit procedures
  • Possessing a thorough knowledge of the operation of all administration equipment, such as email, basic word & excel documentation, and credit card settlement machines
  • Housekeeping functions, including cleaning & maintaining guest accommodation
  • Food & Beverage functions, including preparing and serving food & beverages
  • Maintenance functions, including maintaining guest accommodation and common areas

To succeed in this role, you should have previous experience within a hotel maintenance environment, genuine passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and positive attitude.

You should also be able to work a flexible roster, including weekends, evenings, and school holiday periods, and possess a current driver's license (preferable).
