We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Urban Forestry Specialist to join our Parks and Reserves team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining public trees throughout the City, while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with the community to provide high-quality customer service, even in challenging situations.
- Investigate and respond to public enquiries regarding City trees or green spaces.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure projects align with the City's objectives and budget.
- Develop and supervise the implementation of annual tree maintenance and planting programs.
- Manage contractors and ensure that arboriculture work meets the City's standards.
- Oversee tree asset management, including inspections, data management, and condition assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Qualifications in Arboriculture with experience in managing tree works, including risk assessments, valuation methods, and contractor management.
- A positive, resilient attitude and the ability to effectively manage your own self-care needs.
- A commitment to delivering excellent service and building positive community relationships.
- A competitive salary of $88,555 or $96,187 gross (excluding superannuation) dependent on qualifications.
