Job Opportunity: The Alfred Health Mental Health Service is seeking a highly skilled professional to manage referrals, conduct assessments, and provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and young adults.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage referrals to the service with a timely, compassionate, and supportive response
  • Conduct intake assessments, including triage and crisis responses, and make decisions about allocation of referrals to ensure best outcomes
  • Provide single-session primary consultations and brief interventions underpinned by dialogical practices
  • Secondary consultations to key external services, building capacity, developing partnerships, and collaborative working

Requirements:

  • Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and eligibility for membership of AHPRA (or the appropriate professional body)
  • Minimum 7 years' clinical experience (5 years' clinical experience for psychology and nursing)
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, especially further studies relevant to child, adolescent, and young adult mental health
  • Ability and/or interest in conducting research in the mental health field
