The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise for the development of infrastructure for substations, transport, and civil structures. You will work closely with other engineers, designers, and clients to deliver structural design requirements for major HV infrastructure and renewable projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise for the development of infrastructure for substations, transport, and civil structures
  • Work closely with other engineers, designers, and clients to deliver structural design requirements for major HV infrastructure and renewable projects
  • Mentor and support a team of structural engineers, including graduates
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in a similar Principal Structural Engineer position within renewables or utilities
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Australian guidelines and standards
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and mentor graduates and engineers
  • Proficient in SPACE GASS, PLS-CADD/PLS POLE and other structural tools
  • Demonstrated recent experience working within utilities or renewable energy design projects
