Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Construction Lawyer to join our high-performing legal team on a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Group General Counsel, you will work closely with directors and general managers in each region and partner with the business as one of the company's key legal and strategic advisors.

The ideal candidate will have 6-10+ years of experience in front-end construction law, gained from within a well-respected Australian law firm or large corporate environment. You will be involved in large construction projects and able to demonstrate strategic, innovative, and creative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide commercially astute advice and negotiate to achieve commercial outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide leadership and strategic support to the business.
  • Roll up your sleeves on the legal side and demonstrate confidence, proactivity, and a team-oriented approach at all times.
Requirements
  • 6-10+ years of experience in large construction projects (front end).
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • High level of commercially astute advice.
  • Negotiation skills to achieve commercial outcomes.
  • Confidence, pro-active, and team-oriented.
