Educational Leadership Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative educational leader to join our team as a Program Coordinator - Teaching and Learning. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality education to students.
About the Role: As a Program Coordinator - Teaching and Learning, you will play a key role in leading and implementing our whole-school vision and plan for teaching and learning. This includes overseeing the Southern River College Quality Teaching and Learning Framework to ensure alignment with our educational goals and values as well as the DOE Teach for Impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Vision: You will lead the implementation of a comprehensive vision and strategic plan for teaching and learning, ensuring that our staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality education to our students.
- Instructional Coaching: In this role, you will work closely with staff to build their capacity in effective teaching practices, analyzing pedagogical model data and leveraging current research to promote the implementation of instructional strategies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Professional Development: You will identify the professional development needs of our college through walkthroughs, peer observations, feedback surveys, and other relevant assessments, planning and delivering targeted training to support teachers in their ongoing professional growth and development.
- Curriculum and Pedagogical Support: Leading our whole college pedagogy, you will support Leaders and teachers in deepening their teaching practices by developing and implementing innovative teaching, feedback, and assessment strategies that address the diverse learning needs of our students and promote a high standard of educational delivery.
- Collegiality and Culture: Building a culture of growth mindset, continuous professional development, and an aspirational staff culture is a key aspect of this role. You will model innovative teaching styles, encourage appropriate professional development, and help create a supportive and collegiate learning environment where teachers reflect, collaborate, and grow.
Desirable Attributes:
- Contemporary Pedagogy Knowledge: A strong understanding of modern pedagogical practices and the ability to apply this knowledge in a college setting is essential for this role.
- Supporting Staff: Capability in engaging and supporting teachers to trial and implement new pedagogical approaches, fostering a culture of innovation, is highly desirable.
- Delivery of Professional Learning: Proven experience in planning and delivering effective professional learning programs for educators, tailored to meet the needs of the college, is highly valued.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and students across various contexts and levels, are essential for this role.

Eligibility:
To work with us, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. You must also hold registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia and obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting. Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit is also required.
