Job Opportunity:

To support our growth, we are seeking a 3D Mechanical Designer to join our team.

Daily duties will typically include:

• Designing and modelling equipment in consultation with engineers and senior designers.
• Creating shop detail drawings and assembly drawings of conveyor equipment.
• Checking designs for achievable tolerances, clear dimensioning, weldability, and constructability.
• Preparing drawings for issue to fabricators or project managers.
• Assisting the workshop with design and drawing queries.
• Measuring existing equipment and recommending upgrades and repairs.

Key Requirements:

• A drafting qualification or training.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor).
• 5+ years' experience in a design role or related experience.
• Exposure to the heavy steelwork fabrication environment.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in 2D CAD (Autodesk AutoCAD) would be beneficial.
• Experience with Belt Conveyors would be beneficial.
