We make a real difference in the lives of families, children and young people by delivering essential non-perishable food items to those in need with dignity.

About the Role

We are seeking volunteers who can drive our van to various locations across metropolitan Melbourne to assist with our Emergency Relief programs. Volunteers will also be responsible for loading and unloading goods from the van within safety guidelines, setting up and manning stalls to distribute food items and prepacked food parcels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the van to various locations across metropolitan Melbourne to deliver essential non-perishable food items.
  • Loading and unloading goods from the van within safety guidelines.
  • Set up and man stalls to distribute food items and prepacked food parcels.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have ongoing availability on days determined between Wednesday and Friday, within business hours. You should also be warm, friendly and empathetic in nature, with a genuine interest in supporting people in need. Strong communication and listening skills are also required. Additionally, you must hold a current Victorian Driver's License. A Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check are mandatory prior to commencement.
