About the Role

Our organization is seeking a skilled Cultural Educator to join our team in Victoria. As a key member of our Cultural Education team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering culturally sensitive training programs for registrars, supervisors, and practice team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders through cultural observation visits and providing guidance to registrars on site.
  • Mentor and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander registrars, fostering their growth and development.
  • Design and deliver impactful Cultural Awareness and Safety Training projects and Workshops that cater to diverse audiences.
  • Represent our organization in stakeholder committees, forums, and meetings, promoting cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.
  • Support GP Registrars' training in Aboriginal Medical Services, ensuring they receive the necessary skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate exceptional personal responsibility, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Show a deep understanding of regional community dynamics, traditional customs, and contemporary practices.
  • Have the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences with sensitivity and respect for cultural differences.
  • Bring experience in designing and delivering Cultural Awareness and Safety Training, tailored to meet the needs of various groups.
  • Possess a current driver's license and flexibility to travel across Victoria, as required.
