About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to lead our Workshop team in Somerton. As a Senior Diesel Mechanic Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians to achieve exceptional service standards.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading a team, relevant trade qualifications, and a strong safety mindset. You will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with technical support staff and coordinating diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work
  • Maintaining work schedules to ensure efficient utilization of equipment and resources
  • Ensuring labour is used effectively and ensuring employees comply with all WHS responsibilities
  • Liaising with stakeholders pertaining to machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty

You will also be responsible for driving efficiency within the team to meet tight deadlines while ensuring employees adhere to a safety-first culture.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience leading a team to achieve and exceed set goals
  • Relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) diesel or mobile plant trade qualifications
  • A strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long-term relationships
  • The ability to navigate complex technical issues to deliver high-quality outcomes in repair and maintenance services
