Financial Services Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced financial professional to lead our team of accountants and provide high-quality financial services to our properties across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role:

This is a key leadership position that requires strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver high-quality financial services to our properties, including preparation and review of accounts, management of debtors, and leading and motivating staff to reach their potential.
  2. Work closely with the finance team to prepare and review accounts, manage debtors, and implement process improvements.
  3. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasting, for both corporate and client budgets.
  4. Perform corporate accounting responsibilities, including GST, FBT, income tax, board pack reporting, and analysis.
  5. Manage and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must be a qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with significant experience in commercial accounting.
  • Must have strong analytical skills, budgeting and forecasting experience, and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Prior experience in managing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong knowledge of business processes, systems, and software applications.
  • National Police Check required.
