Job DescriptionWT Partnership continues to secure a number of high-profile billion-dollar projects, and in line with this unparalleled growth of our project pipeline, the Sydney office is expanding, particularly the M&E business, which is looking for an established Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their talented team and work across a wide variety of build, construction, and property projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain cost estimates for engineering services on projects, from Class 5 budgets to detailed design stages.
- Conduct cost analysis on engineering projects and provide accurate estimates for materials, labour, and other expenses.
- Advise project managers and other stakeholders on cost-saving measures and cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare bills of quantities or schedules of materials, labour, and equipment required for the project.
- Analyse and review contractor bids to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Work with engineers, project managers, and other project stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all requirements.
- Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers and contractors.
- Prepare and agree progress payments, assess variations and claims, and report costs vs budgets.
- Monitor and report on project expenses and ensure that project finances are properly managed.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field/trade experience equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering or construction cost estimating.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of engineering materials, building regulations, and construction methods.
- Experience with estimating software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Paid professional memberships and ongoing support in gaining your membership costs for RICS and AIQS.
- Three/two split between the office and working from home.
