
Clinical Healthcare Professional Opportunity

We are seeking medical officers to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services. As a medical officer, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient departments, and participate in multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages presenting in any condition. You will work under an appropriate level of supervision according to your level of competence and demonstrate commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
To be successful in this role, you will require excellent clinical skills, judgment, and expertise, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills. You must also be able to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment and demonstrate time management and leadership skills.
In addition to providing high-quality patient care, you will also be expected to contribute to the development of the district's clinical services and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting in any condition
- Provide consultation to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
- Contribute to the development of clinical services and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities
- Demonstrate commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management
Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent degree
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
- Australian and NZ Graduates/Competent Authority Pathway Candidates: Completion of 2 postgraduate years or more as a medical officer in an acute hospital setting and practiced clinical medicine in an acute hospital setting for a minimum of 12 months out of the past 2 years
- Standard Pathway Candidates: Completion of a minimum of 3 postgraduate years or more as a medical officer in an acute hospital setting and practiced clinical medicine in an acute hospital setting for a minimum of 12 months out of the past 2 years
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management
- Demonstrated time management and leadership skills
