Job Summary:

Workforce Australia for Individuals is seeking a skilled Coal Technician to join our team. As a Coal Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in laboratory operations and chemical process management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in laboratory operations, including sample preparation, testing, and analysis.
  • Contribute to the management of chemical processes, including monitoring and controlling chemical reactions.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and chemical processes.
  • Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate on-the-job training with 6-12 months experience in a laboratory or chemical process; OR
  • Completion of Higher School Certificate with passes in English, Maths and Science or equivalent
  • Progress towards or completion of relevant higher formal qualifications preferred
  • Completion of a numeracy, writing and comprehension test to required standard
  • Previous experience in a similar laboratory or chemical process environment is desirable but not essential
  • The ability to work in a team environment and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A valid driver's licence (Car - minimum green provisional Car Licence)
