Exercise Physiotherapist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiotherapist to join our team at Austin Health. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will provide you with the opportunity to work with patients who require exercise management for various health conditions.
As an Exercise Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for safely and effectively managing individual exercise physiology clinical caseloads, delivering evidence-based care to patients with stroke, acquired brain injury, amputation, post liver transplant, critical illness survivors, orthopaedic injury, and general deconditioning. You will also provide clinical supervision to exercise physiology students.
This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, and a keen interest in developing your skillset. You must be an Exercise Physiologist currently accredited with ESSA and have a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and provide an evidence-based aquatic therapy service to inpatient populations
- Provide clinical supervision to exercise physiology students
- Develop and implement individualised exercise programs for patients with complex needs
Austin Health is one of Victoria's largest healthcare providers, comprising several hospitals and community-based services. Our Physiotherapy Department provides seven days per week, 12 hours per day services to acute and aged care areas, as well as a primary care service for soft tissue injuries in the Emergency Department.

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Strong understanding and experience in NDIS
- Experience in the exercise management of patients with neurological injury, including stroke, non-traumatic spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury, functional neurological disorder, and patients with behaviours of concern
- Experience in the exercise management of patients with a wider variety of health conditions, including post-amputation, pre/post-organ transplant, orthopaedic conditions, and chronic health conditions
The successful candidate will receive a salary ranging from $88,000 to $101,000, plus salary packaging benefits and superannuation (pro-rata for part-time).
