About the Role

The Deputy Editor will work closely with the Editor-In-Chief to drive exceptional editorial, commercial, and production outcomes for the House & Garden and Belle brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the editor-in-chief and editorial team on issue themes, content creation and deadlines.
  • Work with the commercial team to manage the budget and take corrective action where needed.
  • Lead the team throughout the employee lifecycle – including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, recognition and offboarding.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in building new relationships and contacts.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to balance commercial and editorial requirements.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with previous management experience.
