Executive Director - Fund Services

This high-profile role offers a unique opportunity to oversee fund accounting and tax services operations, working closely with senior stakeholders, clients, regulators, and industry forums.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage fund accounting and tax services operations, including team management, stakeholder relationship building, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead a team of fund and tax accountants, providing training, mentoring, and ongoing feedback to ensure excellence in performance.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, brokers, custodians, auditors, and offshore service centers through regular communication and collaboration.
  • Partner with the sales and business development teams to drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless client onboarding processes, maintaining a keen eye for detail and delivering exceptional service quality.
  • Oversee financial reporting, statutory reporting, variance analysis, and other deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes.
  • Streamline operational processes, enhance efficiency, and implement new systems to drive business growth and innovation.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in a similar role within the Australian fund accounting and tax sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation principles, and regulations affecting asset owners, managers, products, managed investments, and superannuation funds.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
  • Familiarity with various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, managed funds, and unlisted securities, as well as corporate events.
  • Ability to research and analyze legislative requirements, updating policy documents, checklists, templates, and procedures accordingly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Key qualifications include: significant experience in Australian fund accounting and tax services, in-depth knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation principles, and proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
