Currently, Golding Contractors is in search of Civil Site Engineers for forthcoming civil works at a Tier 1 Mine located in the Northern Bowen Basin, approximately 2 hours west of Mackay. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing project engineering tasks efficiently to meet the defined scope, timeline, budget, quality, and safety standards. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, complemented by experience in a civil contracting and/or mining setting. The work schedule will follow a 10 days on | 4 days off rotation, with camp accommodation and meals provided. This role offers a permanent full-time position with Golding Contractors, including return flights from Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, design, document, and oversee construction activities and processes;
- Implement and track the project program concerning engineering services;
- Manage and supervise resources allocated for the project;
- Establish and maintain effective communication with the Project Team, including suppliers and clients;
- Ensure all activities comply with the Quality Assurance, Environmental Management, and Safety Management Plans, as well as other relevant standards and regulations;
- Fulfill reporting obligations for financial, operational, and survey requirements of the site;
- Adhere to Golding's health and safety protocols and foster a work environment that embodies these principles.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline are mandatory;
- Proven experience in managing projects within budget constraints;
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) demonstrating the ability to engage with internal customers, external stakeholders, and clients;
- Capability to cultivate and maintain a safe workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors;
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Primavera, and AutoCAD applications;
- Able to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and promote a spirit of teamwork;
- Personal adaptability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
