Ecological Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Ecological Consultant to join our team at our Albury office. The successful candidate will lead and deliver ecological assessments, environmental approvals, and contribute to conservation planning, providing expert advice on a range of projects in New South Wales and Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and lead delivery of ecological survey programs tailored to client needs.
  • Preparing high-quality technical reports, including ecological impact assessment, vegetation mapping, and offsets advice.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects.
  • Providing expert advice on state and Commonwealth biodiversity legislation.
  • Supporting junior staff in fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Liaising with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with client needs.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in botany, ecology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ecological consulting or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Australian ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation and NSW policy framework.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
