Anglicare Central Queensland is seeking a dedicated Placement Support Worker to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an individual who can work closely with foster carers, children and support services to ensure placements are stable, supportive and tailored to each child's unique needs. This role requires someone who is compassionate and committed to providing high-quality support to vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with carers to support children in all aspects of life, at home and in the wider community.
- Use observational and evaluation skills to contribute to the assessment of children and carers needs.
- Work collaboratively with Child Safety Services, community agencies and elders to establish and maintain sound working relationships.
- Provide on call services through a scheduled roster.
- Identify carer training and developmental needs to ensure the needs of the children are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate IV level or higher in Community Services (Child Protection) with significant experience in a similar field.
