Job Title:

We are seeking a visionary leader to establish and transition our new Water Services Entity.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of water service delivery in our region, aligning with the Government's Local Water Done Well initiative.

The successful candidate will lead the creation of a standalone, financially ringfenced business unit, overseeing its strategic direction, operational readiness, and long-term sustainability.

This role spans both establishment and operational phases, with a contract through to July 2027 and potential for extension.

About The Role:

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years' senior leadership experience in Water Services or a similarly complex infrastructure or utilities environment.

They will have proven success in establishment or transition roles, ideally within commercial or network utilities.

Strong financial acumen and experience managing large-scale projects and capital works programmes are essential.

Commercial exposure running or contributing to a commercial activity, ideally in water, energy or civil infrastructure sectors, is also required.

Exceptional people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills are necessary, as well as strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.

Outstanding communication skills, including confidence in public forums, are also required.

A commitment to safety, sustainability, and customer service excellence is expected.
