About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Professional in Contaminated Sites Management to join their Geosciences and Remediation Services (GRS) team in Perth, Western Australia.

You will contribute to a diverse range of high-profile projects across sectors including Defence, oil and gas, local and state government, energy, and mining.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of project management, including planning, budgeting, financial management, scheduling, quality reviews, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and review technical reports, and other project documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Manage contaminated sites projects for Tier 1 clients, building and maintaining strong relationships by understanding their needs and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and contributing to marketing initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired:

  • A relevant university degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, or environmental engineering, and a valid drivers license.
  • Proven experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation, with a proven track record in project management and client engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian and Western Australian technical guidance and regulations.
  • Experience in the assessment of upstream oil and gas and mining sites in northern Western Australia.
  • Willingness to occasionally work remotely in the field or complete site visits across Western Australia and potentially other locations in Australia.
