Job Overview

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead a diverse team of engineers and apply hands-on expertise to support the delivery of HVAC engineering for projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex building services mechanical project teams on large-scale projects.
  • Organize, execute, coordinate, mentor, and coach teams and undertake challenging engineering tasks.
  • Apply advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes.
  • Contribute to and perform designs, prepare specifications, and operate within quality management systems.
  • Discuss and negotiate critical issues within the discipline both internally and with external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Hold an accredited Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognized discipline degree.
  • Possess significant practical design experience with knowledge of local industry standards and codes.
  • Have experience in preparing and verifying design calculations and guiding designers and drafters in the preparation of drawings and reviewing these drawings.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in engineering teams and manage projects to scope, budget, and program.
  • Australian citizenship is required with the ability to obtain Defence clearance.
