Job Summary

This is a dynamic role that requires a highly skilled individual to support the Buyer in the product development cycle. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, displaying initiative in supporting and partnering with the Buyer to improve business results and achieve overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate an understanding of fashion trends aligned to our customer needs
  • Communicate creative input and make suggestions to the product being developed
  • Provide input to garment construction, fabrics, and their performance in styling and durability
  • Administration associated with the effective management of critical path
  • Ensure preparation of reports and products for weekly sales meetings
  • Attend fit sessions
  • Liaise with suppliers and build effective supplier relationships
  • Communicate regularly with store teams and various departments
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who has relevant education; Design/Buying/Merchandise Diploma or Business/Commercial degree. Previous experience as a Buying Assistant in a fashion retail environment is desirable. A LOVE for product, and a passion to grow in this field is essential. Sound knowledge and proficiency in MS Suite, experience in managing administration tasks, a proactive, collaborative, and adaptable nature are also required.
