City Events and Arts Coordinator

The City Events and Arts Coordinator will oversee the delivery of Melton City Council's annual events calendar, encompassing major festivals like Djerrwarrh Festival and Lakeside Alive.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive events program and annual calendar.
- Lead and manage a team through guidance, support, and direction to ensure high-quality arts and events programs.
- Manage risks, including occupational health and safety responsibilities, ensuring event compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Foster community capacity to support community-managed events and establish partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance event delivery.
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in event management, project management, business, marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with proven collaboration and change management skills.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and partnership brokerage abilities.
- Local government experience and community capacity building would be advantageous.
- A valid employee working with children check and current driver's license are essential.
