We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be based in Brisbane and will report directly to the GLNG Reliability Team Leader. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of instrumentation, controls, and electrical (IC&E) systems within our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support for IC&E systems.
  • Assess and identify risks associated with IC&E equipment, supporting risk evaluations and implementing corrective measures.
  • Optimize maintenance strategies and conduct thorough reviews of changes in Reliability Management Plans (RMPs) concerning IC&E systems.
  • Engage in failure investigations, root cause analyses, technical audits, and compliance evaluations for IC&E-related issues.
  • Lead engineering excellence initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety performance standards and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and graduates in their professional development.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering and be eligible for RPEQ (e.g., Chartered Engineer). Additionally, the candidate should possess:

  • Significant experience in IC&E engineering within an operational support capacity, preferably in the oil and gas or petrochemical sectors.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the technical standards and regulatory frameworks pertinent to the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Proficiency in integrated control and safety systems, along with knowledge of operational technology cybersecurity.
  • Expertise in the design verification of process instrumentation, actuated valves, and control systems.
  • Strong background in electrical power generation and distribution engineering.

Furthermore, the candidate should demonstrate technical competencies in:

  • Utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), preferably SAP.
  • Understanding Hazardous Area / EEHA regulations.
  • Applying Functional Safety principles, including SIL, LOPA, and Bowties.

Certifications in Functional Safety Engineering and Hazardous Area will be considered advantageous.
