Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to support the National Manager Population Health & Wellbeing and team in delivering key portfolio priorities.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of best practice processes and strategic projects, fostering effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration across projects.
- Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic and operational initiatives, as well as building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor strategic and operational initiatives, projects, and organisational priorities.
- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic, collaborative, and consistent best-practice approaches across the portfolio.
- Create, review, and refine various communications (emails, reports, submissions, presentations) aligned with Heart Foundation policies and strategy.
- Support the coordination and preparation of internal/external meetings, representing the Heart Foundation when needed.
- Contribute to the development of Heart Foundation policy and advocacy from both a national and local perspective.
- Assist in planning and executing events, including preparing presentations and speeches or managing event logistics.
- Support operational and administrative functions within the Northern Territory office.
- Monitor and track budget expenditures for the Population Health & Wellbeing portfolio, ensuring accountability through regular updates and reports.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, mentoring teams and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration across all organisational levels.
- A background in fields such as public health, social services, business management, advocacy, or public relations.
- Proven skills in administration, project management, and time management.
- Ability to build trust and positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Understanding of cardiovascular health and related social, economic, and political factors.
- Sound judgement and agility in solving complex, strategic challenges.
