The Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our Plant and Rebuild team, specializing in the rebuild and refurbishment of thermal power generation engines in our custom build facility in Kewdale. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Executing engine rebuilds, overhauls, and refurbishments in accordance with company procedures and standards.
  • Conducting thorough inspections to assess the condition of components, identifying areas requiring repair or replacement.
  • Performing performance testing to validate the integrity and efficiency of rebuilt engines.
  • Maintaining detailed equipment and engine records in accordance with workshop procedures.
  • Providing insights and recommendations to the Supervisor for optimizing engine performance and longevity.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Participating in safety meetings and training programs, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures.

About You

  • Mechanical trade qualification (LV Mechanics encouraged to apply).
  • Engine reconditioning and maintenance experience.
  • Competency in delivering high-quality work in a workshop environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • C Class Driving License.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to build and maintain cohesive relationships.
  • Embracing continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
