Maintenance Crew Seeks Experienced Rigger for Heavy Lifting Operations
Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Rigger to join our maintenance crew at FMG Christmas Creek. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy lifting equipment, mobilizing and demobilizing cranes, and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with industry standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Mobilization and Demobilization of Cranes: The ideal candidate will have experience in mobilizing and demobilizing cranes in relevant configurations, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
- Operation of Heavy Lifting Equipment: The Rigger will operate heavy lifting equipment, positioning and repositioning loads as required, while adhering to work standards and instructions.
- Preventative Maintenance: Regular preventative maintenance will be performed on assigned crane equipment, ensuring optimal performance and extending its lifespan.
- Local Perth Resident: The selected candidate must be a local resident and willing to work FIFO from Perth Airport.
- Experience in Rigging: A minimum of two years' experience in rigging heavy lifting operations is essential, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and industry standards.
- Licenses and Certifications: The ideal candidate will hold a High Risk Work License - RI, Working at Heights certification within the next two years, and a valid Driver's License.
- Forklift Experience (Desirable): Forklift experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
