Nursing Professional - Surgical Ward

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Professional to join our team in the Surgical Ward. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to patient care and well-being.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This will involve developing individualized care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated experience working in a surgical ward setting, preferably with recent exposure to colorectal, ENT, general surgeries, plastic surgeries, gastroenterology, vascular surgeries, gynaecology, urogynaecology, urology, and ophthalmology cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
