About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Quality and Safety professional to join our team at Sikorsky Australia. As a key member of our Quality and Aviation Safety Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with aviation standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate events and incidents, and enter data into our Quality Management System.
  • Support external audit activities and provide quality and safety data as required.
  • Manage data entered into our internal QMS tracking software, Ideagen Quality Management (IQM).
  • Conduct inspections of all areas of maintenance, including aircraft induction and exit.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure conformance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the Quality Assurance System and Safety Management Systems (SMS) of Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA), Defence Contract Management Authority (DCMA), and International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in aviation safety and quality, with a passion for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will have a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of aviation regulations.
  • Formal qualifications in safety and lead audit.
  • Demonstrated experience using Quality Management applications, specifically Q-Pulse.
  • Minimum 4 years aviation experience in an MRO environment.
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to build and foster collaborative relationships with people on all levels.
