We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Healthscope Hospitals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Safe and Effective Patient Care
- Provide individualized care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and Mentor Nursing Staff
- Supervise and direct Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care.
- Provide education and support to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives
- Contribute to quality improvement projects to enhance patient care and safety.
- Participate in peer review and feedback to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Healthcare Team
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.
- Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA.
- Experience and Skills
- Minimum 2 years' Registered Nursing experience in an Emergency/Critical Care environment.
- Post Graduate Certificate or working towards in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
- Working with Children check.
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
