About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Paediatric Medicine team as a Senior Nurse Practitioner.

Job Description
  • We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled nurse to lead our team in providing specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions.
  • You will be responsible for undertaking strategic project management, providing specialist advice on risk, safety, and quality, and managing related projects and training.
  • You will also collaborate with Divisional staff and the Safety and Quality Unit to develop a continuous improvement framework supporting quality projects that enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • You will have registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading and promoting consumer engagement initiatives.
