Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Manager to oversee the execution process for lending transactions within our Housing Programs team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering deal execution, collaborating with commercial teams, risk, legal, and other stakeholders to support deal closure.

About the Role:

This role involves managing commercial contracts to financial close, ensuring all conditions precedent are satisfied by the recipient. The Manager will oversee the execution process for lending transactions to ensure seamless outcomes, collaborate with Commercial Managers, Legal Counsel, Risk, and Treasury to support transactions, coordinate transactions involving complex deal structures, and maintain a clear audit trail of decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage commercial contracts to financial close, ensuring all conditions precedent are satisfied by the recipient.
  2. Oversee the execution process for lending transactions to ensure seamless outcomes.
  3. Collaborate with Commercial Managers, Legal Counsel, Risk, and Treasury to support transactions.
  4. Coordinate transactions involving complex deal structures, including negotiations, documentation, and security matters.
  5. Maintain a clear audit trail of decisions.
  6. Manage risk approvals for waivers or variations.
  7. Engage proactively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful deal execution.
  8. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  9. Stay updated on risk policies and contribute to governance, reporting, and data quality of the lending portfolio.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in financial close processes involving debt & equity structuring, legal negotiations, and base rate setting within property or infrastructure finance.
  • Strong understanding of finance agreements and loan documentation, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Organised and proactive, capable of managing a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Solutions-focused, able to identify and mitigate risks in transactions.
  • Committed to achieving positive social outcomes.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Superior written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Accounting, Business, or Finance.
